Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Rank Mario, we are committed to delivering exceptional SEO results for local and service businesses across Canada and the United States. We understand that business circumstances can change. This policy outlines our approach to cancellations and refunds for all services offered by Rank Mario.

Please read this policy carefully before engaging our services, as it forms part of our service agreement with you.

1. Nature of SEO Services

SEO is an ongoing, effort-intensive service that involves significant time, expertise, tool costs, and strategic work that begins immediately upon engagement. Because much of our work is delivered incrementally — audits, strategy documents, content, technical fixes, GBP optimization — our refund policy reflects the nature of services already rendered.

2. Cancellation Policy

Monthly Retainer Services (Local SEO, Technical SEO, GBP Management, Content):

A minimum of 30 days written notice is required to cancel an ongoing retainer. Services will continue and be billed through the end of the current billing cycle after the notice period has elapsed. There is no long-term lock-in — Rank Mario operates on a flexible, month-to-month basis.

Project-Based Engagements (One-time SEO Audits, Website SEO Setup, Content Projects):

Cancellations must be submitted before the project enters the execution phase. Once work has commenced, cancellation fees apply based on the percentage of work completed at the time of the request.

Pre-Paid or Advance Packages:

Pre-paid engagements are subject to a deduction for all work completed and any non-recoverable third-party tool costs before any remaining balance is refunded.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to rankmarioseo@gmail.com.

3. Refund Policy

Eligible for Refund:

  • Advance payments for projects where absolutely no work has commenced — subject to a 10% administrative fee
  • Overpayments or duplicate billing — refunded in full within 7 business days of confirmation
  • Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of initial payment where no strategy, audit, or deliverable work has been initiated

Not Eligible for Refund:

  • Monthly retainer fees for a billing cycle where services have been fully or partially rendered
  • Payments for completed deliverables including SEO audits, strategy documents, location pages, blog posts, GBP optimizations, or technical implementations
  • Third-party costs incurred on the client's behalf including SEO tool subscriptions, stock content, or platform fees
  • Work in progress that has been fully or partially delivered for client review
  • Refund requests based on dissatisfaction with organic search results, traffic levels, or rankings, where the agreed scope of work was fulfilled — SEO outcomes depend on many external variables including search engine algorithm changes, market competition, and client-side factors

4. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with a deliverable, a report, or any aspect of our services, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a formal refund request. Rank Mario is committed to resolving concerns through revisions, remediation, or an alternative solution wherever possible.

Disputes must be raised in writing within 10 business days of the relevant invoice date or delivery of the deliverable in question. Disputes raised after this period may not be eligible for refund consideration.

5. Refund Process

To request a refund or submit a cancellation:

  1. Step 1: Email rankmarioseo@gmail.com with your full name, business name, invoice number, and a clear description of your request and reason
  2. Step 2: Our team will review your request and respond within 3–5 business days
  3. Step 3: If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days

Refunds for Canadian clients will be issued in CAD; refunds for U.S. clients will be issued in USD as per the original transaction currency. Rank Mario is not responsible for any currency conversion fees or delays imposed by payment processors or financial institutions.

6. Canadian & U.S. Consumer Protections

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation or U.S. federal and state consumer protection laws. If you believe you have rights under such legislation, please contact us and we will address your concern accordingly.
